Job Description:

Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Manager is responsible for the maintenance, upkeep, and repair of the Dealership's facilities, buildings, grounds, and equipment, ensuring they are safe, operational, and up to code. This includes managing maintenance staff/vendors as needed, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.
Essential Duties:

  • Performing routine and preventative maintenance inspections, repairing electrical or plumbing issues, and managing building maintenance tasks like heating and air conditioning.
  • Ensuring facilities meet safety regulations and health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating renovations and updates, and overseeing the design of new construction and remodels.
  • Ensuring facilities meet compliance standards and government regulations.
  • Ensuring that buildings and their services meet the needs of employees, such as security, parking, and cleaning.
  • Preparing and implementing project budgets and timeframes.
  • Dealing with emergencies and urgent situations and having the ability to multitask and prioritize to keep things flowing in the right direction.
  • Forecasting the facility's upcoming needs and requirements and planning accordingly.
  • Helping with office relocations and/or moving of furniture, equipment, and office areas.
  • Supervising Maintenance Staff, Vendors, and 3rd party sources as needed.
  • Facility grounds upkeep and beautification.

    Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Facility Maintenance or related field.
  • Strong understanding of building trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry.
  • Strong understanding of safety processes and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to travel for extended periods as needed.
  • Must have the ability to work on call for emergent situations.

    Work Environment:
    The employee will be exposed to moving parts and electrical current. Exposed also to grease, chemicals, dust, dirt, and various weather conditions as well as noise levels and potential hazardous material.
    This position requires the employee to frequently stand, stoop, bend, and work in a crouched position or lying on back. Employee is required to reach and work overhead approximately 40% of the time and should be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
