Job Description:

sector engagement. The Schaeffer Center is seeking a
Budget/Business Analyst to join the team, who will play a key role
in managing the financial and business processes of the Center and
ensuring that they are handled accurately and in a timely fashion.
This is a full-time, two-year fixed term position. Hybrid work
arrangement. Key duties/areas of oversight include but are not
limited to the following:
- Procurement and Disbursement -- Management of new and existing
subcontracts, and Independent Consulting Agreements/Professional
Services Agreements; assisting research staff in procuring
incentive fees, and processing of other research payments;
providing information to staff and faculty regarding university and
sponsor financial policies and assisting faculty and staff in
financial transactions such as purchasing supplies and accounting
for travel expenditures and reimbursements.
- Assisting with account reconciliations -- setting up and
maintaining accounts; reconciling account balances and activity to
university financial records and initiating correcting entries; and
troubleshooting problems, including research of pertinent facts and
interacting with appropriate university staff to achieve
resolution.
- Administering assigned budget(s) -- monitoring actual income
and expense and developing projections in order to authorize or
extend financial commitments; analyzing current performance to
plan, and projecting future budget performance based on knowledge
of assigned operations. The Budget/Business Analyst will be
expected to work effectively on multiple projects, be resourceful,
and take the initiative to address and resolve issues. This
position will be an integral member of the Schaeffer Center--s
finance team, and successful candidates will be flexible and
possess a willingness to pivot as needed. -- Minimum Education:
Bachelor--s Degree Combined experience/education as substitute for
minimum education Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Fields of
Expertise:
- Business administration
- Accounting or related degree
- Budget experience, including knowledge of government and fund
accounting
- Strong computer skills with use of automated spreadsheets
Preferred Education: Bachelor--s Degree Preferred Experience: 2
years Preferred Expertise:
- University budget experience
- Knowledge of university financial systems, including the
Workday financial system and SAP Concur
- Post-award research administration experience; experience in
NIH awards is a plus Compensation Commensurate with experience and
qualifications. The hourly rate range for this position is $34.92 -

of Pharmacy and the Sol Price School of Public Policy, the
