As an integral part of our organization, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of equipment efficiency and effectiveness. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your technical skills in a challenging, innovative and rewarding environment, where you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, hospital systems, and military equipment.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Field Service Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:1. Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on a diverse range of lab equipment, including histology, refrigeration, and optics equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.2. Providing technical support to our customers, addressing and resolving any issues or queries related to equipment operation and maintenance.3. Conducting equipment installations, ensuring proper setup and calibration, and providing training to users as necessary.4. Troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions, utilizing your knowledge of mechanical engineering to diagnose and resolve complex issues.5. Working in adherence with all CAP and CLIA regulations, maintaining detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.6. Assisting in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs, identifying potential issues before they escalate and ensuring the longevity and reliability of our equipment.7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve equipment performance and reliability, contributing your technical expertise to support continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Permanent Field Service Technician position should have:1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the medical industry, with a strong focus on equipment maintenance and repair.2. Demonstrated experience with a wide range of lab equipment, including histology, refrigeration, and optics equipment.3. Proficiency in equipment installation and troubleshooting, with a keen eye for detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving.4. Familiarity with CAP and CLIA regulations, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.5. A strong technical background, preferably with a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.6. Experience with military equipment will be considered an asset.7. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise technical support to a diverse range of users.8.
