Who They AreWe are working with a 78-year-old, $100M, privately held and employee-owned innovative commercial glass and glazing contractor. They are looking for an Estimator in Los Angeles to oversee high-end residential and large-scale commercial projects due to expansion.What You'll Do

• 
  
• Prepare bid proposals for private and public projects
  
• Collaborate with other estimators
  
• Maintain bid spreadsheets
  
• Negotiate work with various clients
  
• Choose best options for systems and materials
  
• Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotes
  
• Perform labor reviews
  
  What You'll Need
  
  • 
    
  • Experience in estimating projects ranging from three to eight years, specifically within the glazing industry, on various sized projects
    
  • High School Diploma and some college (certification or Associates degree), in Construction or Architectural Technology course work
    
  • Knowledge of materials, machines, tools and equipment used in the industry
    
  • Ability to read blueprints as well as architectural and structural drawings
    
  • Ability to do accurate take-offs; familiarity with on-screen take-offs
    
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating System, Microsoft Word, Excel and Microsoft Project
    
  • Understanding of manufacturers' installation instructions
    
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
