The Sr Analyst, Business Operations will prepare and maintain budgets, establish earnings plans, and develop estimates at completion of assigned defense projects. Under supervision, this role will apply Earned Value Management, finance, and accounting skills; approve requisitions; prepare financial reporting on a major defense program; use metrics associated with management best practices; and prepare reports to reflect Awards, Sales, Profit, and Cash. You may assist proposal teams, develop Bases-of-Estimate, provide actuals data, and support fact-finding/negotiations as needed. Understand and incorporate necessary changes. Assists in the analysis of data and prepares financial reports, including graphs and charts, for Program Managers and other internal and external customers. Create financial spreadsheets including ad hoc reports. Interface with management on financial matters. 20% - Forecast of program awards, sales, profit and staffing by assessing trends and working with the program team to ensure reasonableness. Use of Excel spreadsheets to analyze the data will be a key element of the process. Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics or an appropriate discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and (three) 3 years of experience.
  • Requires mathematical ability to accurately perform calculations used in cost/budget analysis.
  • Must have strong foundation of computer skills and be proficient using imported and/or exported data. Requires familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; Access experience is a plus.
  • This position requires an understanding of general accounting principles and Earned Value Management, including the ability to accurately assess cost data and forecast expenditures.
  • Must have solid communication and teamwork skills. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement. Work Environment/Physical Requirements:Employees in these positions must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer; stamina to sit and to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; may occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 15 pounds; may require minimal walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and/or bending; and vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.Pay range for this position::60,500 - 84,500 per yearNote about pay range::Pay range for this job level is a general guideline only for California and/or Washington State and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
