Job Description:

The Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist will ensure our clients receive payments for the services worked in the production/post-production industry. This position is responsible for maintaining vendor and client relations, billing, data entry, receivables, maintaining job files, assisting the job costing department, and assisting with ad hoc projects as needed. The AR Specialist will take ownership in the smooth operations of their clients and communicate directly with their team. This position will be expected to work in close cooperation with all company managers and staff, and at times, with clients and production teams.Responsibilities:--- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records client and vendor payments and transactions related to accounts receivable--- Creates invoices according to company practices; submits invoices to clients in a timely and accurate manner--- Assure timely collection of payments for our clients--- Weekly reporting of invoicing totals, aging totals, cash receipts, and invoice adjustments--- Research client discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of Client Leaders--- Maintains and updates client files, including name or address changes, mergers, or mailing attentions--- Relays changes of information to appropriate employees--- Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection protocols and procedures--- Assist in any other special projects as requested by managementQualifications:--- High school graduate with diploma; college degree preferred--- Minimum 1 year of accounts receivable experience required--- Knowledge of relevant accounting software, Microsoft Office skills--- Ability to work both independently & collaboratively and in a fast-paced environment--- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with clients--- Excellent organizational skills--- Attention to detail and accuracy--- Ability to be a team player--- Excellent problem-solving skillsThis position will require the individual to be on-site in our Santa Monica office. After a month of continuous employment, we offer the option to work remote one day a week.
