Description: The Superintendent is instrumental in fostering the
employee-owner attitudes of field staff and representing the
company, its policies, practices, products, and managerial
effectiveness to clients, subcontractors, and the public. He or she
reports directly to the Vice President of Field Operations and is
responsible for the conduct, completion, and quality of all work
put in place on each project with which he or she is involved. At

ResponsibilitiesManage assigned subcontractors at the project site,
fostering accountability and the positive employee-owner attitudes
of all HBC field staff. Manage knowledge sharing efforts and
conduct weekly safety meetings. Monitor and manage project
workloads to ensure proper supervision per HBC policies and
procedures. Keep the VP of Field Ops abreast of escalating project
and client issues and their resolutions. Ensure the proper use of
PPE, tools, and equipment as required by HBC Standard Operating
Procedures and policies, State and CAL-OSHA regulations. Ensure the
maintenance of fully stocked first aid kits along with injury and
illness prevention plans on site. Create and maintain emergency
evacuation plans on site. Maintain accurate daily logs accounting
for all present manpower, scheduling needs, phone calls,
inspections, approvals, visitors, deliveries, change requests,
delays, and accidents or near misses, accounting for all on-site
project operations each day. Continuously communicate ongoing
project needs and schedule updates to the Vice President of Field
Operations, General Superintendents and Project Managers to best
coordinate staff efforts. Continuously monitor and intervene as
required to ensure spec conformance, quality control, on-time
project delivery, and total client satisfaction. Ensure the
accuracy of documents on site including project Bulletins, and
approved shop drawings and material submittals required to put work
in place. Minimum Qualifications At least 5 years of experience as
a Superintendent or equivalent position on large, complex, high-end
and fast-tracked commercial TI construction projects. Bachelor's
degree or relevant construction management certification preferred.
Proven capacity to lead and motivate subcontractors on complex
projects. Ability to read and thoroughly understand architectural
and engineered plans, details, and specifications. Trade-specific
knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and
finishes sufficient to guarantee proper conformance with
architectural and engineered design requirements. Full
understanding of building codes, OSHA requirements, injury and
illness prevention plans, subcontracts, project schedules,
submittals, RFIs and similar documents is a must. Working knowledge
of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Adobe required. Experience
with, MS Project, PlanGrid, Procore and similar project management
software preferred. OSHA 10 required OSHA 30 preferred. First aid,
and CPR certifications required. LEED or similar accreditation
preferred. Working Conditions & Physical DemandsDue to the nature

their own safety, and be attendant to the safety of all workers,
