Work in casting department producing thermoset casted parts of
various sizes operating numerically controlled computerized
Autocasting machines, hand mixing and pour methods.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement Company safety and break policies, ensure all
employees work in a safe manner, follow directions, and wear
company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Immediately
stop any unsafe activity, assess all accidents, and report to Plant
- Have excellent knowledge of Polymer Concrete casting
manufacturing methods using thermoset polyester resin based, woven
fiberglass, and inorganic filler materials, match composite
mold/tools dressing and setup, operation of numerically controlled
computerized Autocasting machines, hand mixing and pouring.
Fiberglass cutting and kitting and part delflashing/finishing
- Assess and maintain necessary raw material inventory levels,
schedule current day and weekly production needs to ensure
department has enough raw material stock material to complete their
daily output requirements.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings, lead and train
others in the department.
- Ensure department personnel follow all Company and safety
- Ask questions when unsure of work safety and through-put
- Keep area clean, follow good housekeeping practices.
Skills And Experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/ KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:
- Ability to work in a group environment, give instructions, lead
and train others as needed.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to
completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed
routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while
maintaining a positive attitude.
