Job Description:

The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Strategic Planning & Analysis team and will be responsible for many essential aspects of commercial real estate corporate finance, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and creating actionable analytics. The SP&A team acts as a trusted partner in providing analytical advisory to all departments of Westwood Financial, driving strategic decision making and ensuring continued growth. Key Responsibilities

• Produce annual budgets and quarterly forecasts through Argus Enterprise - interact with Leasing, Property Management, Capital Markets, and Accounting
• Create and collaborate on long term predictive financial models to guide strategic decision-making
• Produce actionable analytics ranging from leasing statistics to property management/operational analysis. Assist in the production of quarterly results and materials for strategic asset reviews.
• Perform credit review / risk analyses for leasing transactions
• Research and apply critical thinking to industry trends, competitors, and current events to provide relevant business insights
• Work closely with systems and accounting to produce new reporting through MRI
• Assist in the implementation of Argus Enterprise updates on all properties
• Produce ad-hoc property and corporate level financial analysis as requested by executives
• Display a high level of problem solving in bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex, and/or cross-functional challenges
  Qualifications (Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience)
  • Bachelor's Degree; 1-5 years of experience
  • Prior experience in working with Real Estate Accounting, Finance and/or Budgeting preferred
  • Ambitious, hard-working, collaborative, and high attention to detail
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to multi-task / solve complex problems
  • Energetic, proactive approach to work and the ability to self-motivate
  • Professional attitude and an internal customer-service orientation
  • Proven track record of working closely with senior level managers and executives
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft and Office suite of services; strong with Excel - modeling experience and ability to manipulate large data sets
