Role description: Arcadis is currently seeking a Construction Technician to provide support on industrial wastewater collection system and industrial wastewater treatment plant construction oversight. This position will be based out of the Los Angeles, CA, or Reno, NV office and will require regional travel. The Construction Technician will be responsible for managing significant construction projects, oversight of contractors and sub-contractors, construction planning, submittal and RFI management, and field support. This position requires the ability to work independently, familiarity with construction equipment operation, and willingness to travel in most areas of the United States. Role accountabilities: * Promoting and tracking safety performance * Interaction and communication with clients with a strong approach to safety * Managing and updating construction schedules * Tracking field costs and material volumes * Preparing daily field reports * Working with subcontractors and other contractors * Managing day-to-day activities on large construction/remediation projects * Managing and directing communications and coordination to and from contractors to engineering staff. * Current valid driver's licenses Qualifications & Experience: Required Qualifications: * Degree in construction management, engineering, geology and/or 1 year of experience with industrial construction or related field Preferred Qualifications: * 40-hour HAZWOPER * 10-Hour OSHA Construction * 8-hr Supervisor Training * Other construction equipment training Why Become an Arcadian?
