First Republic has a need for a Data Analyst that can help gather, analyze, and assess information regarding internal processes:
- Use data driven analyses and creation of reports and models to identify data quality improvement opportunities.
- Help the business understand and potentially improve its processes using data insights.
- Help the team define solutions/improvements for our business.
- Ensure reports and data infrastructure designs meet business and technical requirements, are maintainable and scalable and meet stated performance benchmarks.
- Work with cross-functional teams and business end-users to understand requirements, define the data design and support the socialization of the design with stakeholders.
- Develop, manage, and maintain reports with a focus on improving and managing data quality
- Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging internal data to drive business solutions
- Must be able to understand business needs and distill them into low level requirements for data analysis
- Partner with managers to develop and execute various reporting packages and ad hoc requests
- Deliver on various data and reporting projects end-to-end, including requirements identification, timeline / milestone establishment, inter-departmental coordination and risk assessment / monitoring
- Formulate business insights on how to improve data quality, improve efficiency and/or deepen relationships based on data
- Oversee the design, scoping, implementation and testing of data reporting and data needs for end-to-end analysis.
- Ensure the ongoing maintenance, enhancement and support of any reports or solutions provided, so that they continue to meet business needs.
- Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
- Perform other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
- Responsibilities include the following: 1) adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.), 2) adhering to Bank policies and procedures, 3) completing required training, 4) identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer, and 5) knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank. Qualifications You could be a great fit if you have:
- 5+ years business analysis or similar capacity as primary resource extracting and presenting data
- 4+ years of in-depth experience using T-SQL to build reports, data extraction and manipulation to present data in a reporting tool or Excel
- 2+ years Python
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Desired Qualifications
- Experience with reporting dashboards in Tableau or Microsoft SSRS
- Knowledge of Snowflake SQL
- Use of querying tools like PowerPivot and Power Query in Excel
- Proven experience working with client data
- Experience in Banking is highly desired

- Must be able to communicate effectively via telephone and in person.
- Must be able to travel as position requires.
- May be required to lift 25-50 lbs.
