Senior Financial Analyst - Northridge Operations - Open to

onsite in Northridge, CA but open to US remote. Part of the Active
Implantables and Pumps (AIP) manufacturing network, the Northridge
site includes manufacturing and operations support/activity with a
cost of production of $400M+ for the Diabetes business. As a member
of the Operations Finance team, the Sr. Financial Analyst role will
assist in the various finance activities and provide support and
business partnering to site Operations leadership to drive
financial results and operating performance improvement (e.g., cost
reduction and strategic initiatives for the site). The role will
provide financial expertise to the business and assist in the key
financial processes (complying with GAAP and Medtronic policies and
procedures), including month end closing, cost center and capital
expenditure annual planning, forecasting, and other items assigned
by the Sr. Finance Manager. We believe that when people from

the Life Responsibilities may include the following and other
duties may be assigned.
- Perform functions/activities related to monthly closing of
financial records. Prepare and publish financial communications on
actual results, forecasts, etc., including variance drivers.
- Perform cost center analysis for the Operations site. Analyze
and interpret information pertaining to the Operations team cost
center performance. Inform leadership of trends in the financial
performance of the business that may require management
- Support the Northridge manufacturing team by providing
financial reporting to aid in effective/efficient management of
site operations (e.g., labor, burden, spend, purchase price
variance reporting, etc.).
- Coordinate network capital expenditure planning, forecasting,
and reporting including depreciation planning, CIP tracking and
return on investment analysis.
- Support the development and tracking of key performance
indicators/metrics, which focus on key business drivers that
support the operational performance and strategic objectives.
- Perform financial analysis for special or ad-hoc projects upon
request, including providing business partnering and finance
support to Operations as needed . Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance
and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 2+ years) Nice to Have
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting with Operations Finance
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office package (Excel, Word,
- Experience with ERP and forecasting systems (e.g., SAP,
Hyperion/Essbase, GPS etc.)
- Experience in quantitative analysis and familiarity with
accounting rules and procedures, financial analysis, modeling and
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management
skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
