The InterventionalrnRadiology Technologist functions tornmaximize
quality of patient care and maintain imaging quality, scrub
assistancernon diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring
proper equipmentrnperformance, guaranteeing safe and clean
equipment. Ability to act as arntrainer or resource technologist.
Inrnaddition, maintains professional standards and teaches
radiological principlesrnto students.
Under the supervision of the Director orrndesignee for IR, the
primary responsibilities of the Interventional
RadiologyrnTechnologist include: providing direct patient care,
assist in scrubbingrnvarious interventional procedures, assures
interventional rooms arernappropriately stocked, developing and
applying concepts ofrnleadership/management and communication
theory teaching, maintenance ofrnprofessional standards and
function in a leadership position by serving as arnpreceptor in all
radiology centers. Practice C-ICARE when interacting with
patients,rntheir families, visitors, or internal customers. Act as
a role model, verbally and behaviorally demonstrating
skill,rnenthusiasm, positive problem solving, commitment and
loyalty to the professionrnand the organization.Qualifications
Possession ofrncurrent ARRT and CRT Certificates, Fluoro permit and

Ability torncommunicate, write clearly and effectively using
Ability to read,rninterpret, and understand verbal or written
instructions or orders inrnEnglish
Ability tornestablish and maintain working relationships with
patient, families, and co-workers.
Skill inrnorganizing and prioritizing the work assignment to

Ability torneffectively plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate
pre-, mid-, andrnpost-procedure care for interventional
Ability to act asrnresource for IR.
Knowledge ofrnperformance improvement activities relevant to the
care of IR patients.
Teaching skills inrninformal settings.
Skill and ability to respond quickly and accurately withrnpatient
needs and physician direction
Skill in operating equipment required to do thernjob.
Must possess IV or CV certification from the AART preferred.
Maybe required to rotaternbetween the different radiology
