About the Organization Tarzana Treatment Centers, Inc.(TTC) is a
full-service behavioral healthcare organization that provides high
quality, cost-effective substance use and mental health treatment
to adults and youth. TTC operates a psychiatric hospital engaged in
detox and stabilization (this is not a locked facility),
residential and outpatient alcohol and drug treatment centers,

Chemical Dependency Counselor position. Will work closely with the
inpatient psychiatric and detox multi-disciplinary team of CD
counselors, clinical interns, nurses, technicians, and doctors
under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and Program
Director. Duties include, among others, the implementation of
chemical dependency assessments and individualized treatment plans
for patients. Facilitation of individual & group counseling
sessions. Electronic and paper chart documentation. Participation
in case conferences and crisis intervention as needed. Requires the
following: 1- Completion of an academic addictions studies program
2- Certification with one of the approved state-wide certification
entities and 3- minimum 5 years experience in a behavioral
inpatient psychiatric and detoxification medical healthcare
setting. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) also preferred.
Job Specific Requirements Position Requirements
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Clinical background required.
Masters degree in health or human/social services related
Completion of Addiction Studies Program and certification with
CAADAC, CAADE, or AAHCP.
Current registration or certification as a SUD Counselor.
