Job Description SummaryThe Network Systems Engineer will Provide support for the Agua Caliente Gaming Commission network infrastructure which includes; various computer systems, hardware, networking solutions, servers, ACGC data center, telecommunications, and future recommended solutions. Coordinate and implement network implementations and upgrades as assigned by the Director of IT and Technical Services.Create and maintain documentation for network infrastructure and related systems, it will be their responsibility to ensure that requests coming to ACGC IT Engineering are processed appropriately according to company internal controls and ACGC policy.They will provide on-site/remote administration for ACGC users in a variety of work environments, including professional offices, workgroups or departments, and corporate information services. The Network Systems Engineer will also be assigned functional roles by the Director of IT and Technical Services with any future projects that have been decided on.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)Strong understanding of MICS, Tribal Compact, Internal Controls and Regulations for Indian Gaming with an emphasis on IT.NetworkingAssists with the administration, maintenance, and installation of all network infrastructure and those core systems that specifically impact the business relative to Internet, telephony, communication, routing, and switching.Makes new solution recommendations to the Director of IT and Technical Services for related hardware and software systems.Maintain network topology diagrams.Monitors system alerts and performs associated remediation efforts as required.Provides on-call support for networking system-related issues.Must comply with all applicable Agua Caliente Casinos System of Internal Controls, Standard Operating Procedures, and all Tribal Regulations.Internal SystemsAssists with administration, maintenance, and upgrades of Enterprise Data Center.Assists with the 3rd level support for ACGC IT Specialist, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.Assists with the design, implementation, and maintenance of operating systems, programs, hardware, and software.Asset ManagementAssists with inventory management of all software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT network assets as required by the business.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneAccess to Sensitive Areas and InformationAs required to conduct all job functions and matters as identified within this job description.Signatory AbilityNoneQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceAt least three years of experience performing similar duties within the IT function.Current valid certifications in network administration discipline is preferred (e.g., Windows Server hybrid administrators, Cisco CCNA or similar). and/or be able to obtain within 6 monthsMust be familiar with PC hardware and server hardware Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows 20xx, Windows 20xx Server), Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with Data Center Technologies preferred.Experience using network monitoring tools.Experience with Visio and diagram design tools.Strong knowledge of Cyber security related policies and procedures.Must have excellent verbal, written, communication, and interpersonal skills.Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and work after normal business hours and on weekends as required.Experience in working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.Bachelors degree in computer science or information sciences from a four-year college or university, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.Working Conditions/Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to stand, move and work throughout theoffice area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs and sitting at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift. Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.Typically, the individual will be housed in an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but will escalate when located in the casino environment. Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis, and sufficient dexterity of hand in order to use office equipment including, but not limited to: a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment and multi-line telephone.by Jobble
