Job OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Welding
Inspector to join our facility in Canoga Park, California. 2nd
Shift. Union position.This current opening may be filled as posted

Read and interpret information from planning documents, drawings,
specifications, engineering orders, quality assurance procedures,
schematics and diagrams to plan methods and procedures to inspect
weldments and diffusion bonded assemblies for dimensional accuracy,
correct penetration and soundness.10% - Inspect weld set ups prior
to welding.50% - Apply a broad knowledge of weld and fusion bonded
theory, practices, methods and workmanship standards and perform
visual inspection and have penetrant inspection of weldments and
diffusion-bonded assemblies for dimensional accuracy, correct
penetration and soundness.10% - Visually and physically check
material and cut away samples for hardness, soundness, and correct
penetration using precision measuring instruments, sine and surface
plates, height and radius gauges, comparators, check fixtures and
dye penetrant equipment.5% - Perform or verify loading, destructive
and leak tests.5% - Record and maintain or verify test data and
records manually or with the aid of a computer or computer-based
system.10% - Stamp off or otherwise accepts or rejects welded and
diffusion bonded assemblies and order rejections or
rework.RequirementsRequires a high school diploma (or equivalent)
plus two (2) years experience with performing weld inspections,
within aerospace hardware experience.Must be certifiable to Level
II Penetrant certification in accordance with NAS 410 and/or
ASNT.Other NDT certifications a plus.Requires U.S. Citizenship,
U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be
able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to
government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you
from being able to meet this requirement.Work Environment/Physical
Requirements:The work environment may require a combination of
indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with
a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e.
ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body
equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching
on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending,
reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning
picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to
lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties
of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May
require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety
glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work
in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment,
including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be
necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various
locations within the Company facility or between locations. May
require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may
be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful
operation of activities in the organization.Pay range for this
position:30.00 - 40.00 per hour Note about pay range:Pay range for
