Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY The Head of Fundraising & Major Gifts will work
closely with the Chief Impact Officer to own and execute an annual
fundraising campaign of $5,000,000. This includes developing
strategy and implementing research, relationship-building,
solicitation, and stewardship for a growing individual, corporate
and foundation donor program, along with a capital campaign for
sustaining the SoLa Foundation Technology and Entrepreneurship
Center. S/he will also work with a wider team that handles graphic
design, community events, tenant relations and more. ABOUT THE
FOUNDATIONThe SoLa Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit affiliate of
SoLa Impact, works to improve the lives of South LA residents and
break the cycle of intergenerational poverty by providing
opportunities for education, economic mobility, & community
development. SoLa provides the community with skills-based
technology programming, as well as scholarships and career
development opportunities for underinvested communities to ensure
Black and brown Angelenos get increased access to jobs, mentorship,
and placement in the most competitive fields of businesses.Four Key

& Tech Innovation, Financial Literacy & Economic Mobility, and
College Readiness & Scholarships.ABOUT THE FOR PROFIT AFFILIATE is
a real estate private equity firm with a double bottom line
strategy focused on preserving, rehabbing, and building
high-quality affordable housing in Black and brown communities.
SoLa's proven track record leverages data-driven social impact
strategies to deliver market returns for their investors. SoLa
Impact's fourth fund, the , will deploy over $1 billion in Los
Angeles and Southern California to build over 3,500 workforce and
affordable housing units. SoLa Impact was ranked as the Black-led

demonstrated ability to deliver positive changes in environmental,
social, and governance (ESG) matters. SoLa Impact's funds have

leveraging private capital, in combination with technological

fulfil.RESPONSIBILITIESProgram Planning & Management--- Generate
annual revenue of $2,000,000 for the SoLa Foundation, with a
stretch goal of $5,000,000 in a calendar year--- Further develop
existing data-management systems --- Develop, own and execute
comprehensive fundraising campaign of $5,000,000; participate in
budgeting and cash flow reporting Donor Cultivation and Stewardship
--- Build and steward relationships with individual donors and
institutional funders ensuring personal attention and service ---
Spearhead portfolio growth, including working with leadership,
board, and partners to funnel prospects into the solicitation
pipeline --- Produce fundraising appeals, updates, and other
correspondence in alignment with organization messaging and brand
guidelines --- Collaborate with marketing team on the development
and refinement of (new and existing) collateral in support of
fundraising strategies --- Develop, refine and execute (new and
existing) donor events in collaboration and coordination with the
programs team --- Manage recordkeeping and acknowledgment process
Other Support --- Keep informed of current events and partnership
opportunities in South LA --- Occasionally work evenings or
weekends for special events which may require Southern California
travel--- Complete other tasks and projects as they arise
REQUIREMENTS--- Bachelor's Degree, advanced degree preferred ---
Minimum 15 years' experience post undergrad with at least 7 years'
experience managing diverse teams of professionals--- Minimum 10
years' experience developing donor outreach programs including
digital campaigns, personal solicitation, events, corporate giving,
in-kind giving and partnerships and donor management systems---
Experience directly soliciting six-figure gifts from individuals
and institutions required --- Experience with portfolios of donors
in the 5-to-7-figure giving levelSoLa Impact offers a comprehensive
