The Researcher is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of laboratory research projects in the Huk Lab involving imaging and electrophysiology experiments, as well as their own independent research program. The researcher will work with the team and assist the principal investigator with the planning, execution, and monitoring of research projects to ensure that all scientific work is performed using appropriate techniques, and that all requirements and deliverables are met in a specified timeline. The Researcher will also train new lab members in scientific and technical matters, support novel collaborations with both local and remote researchers, and actively enrich and contribute to the culture of transparency, respect, and mentorship within the lab. The Researcher must ensure that the work is conducted in compliance with standard operation protocols and regulatory guidelines. In addition, the Researcher will assist and prepare with all required reports, grant applications, and regulatory documents.
