Job Description:
L3Harris Interstate Electronics Corporation has an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer for the Range & Test Solutions (RTS) business. The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of the systems engineering process, will have direct and significant experience designing and testing complex systems, and will be comfortable coordinating teams of technical personnel.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Systems Engineer in the development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems used to track and collect data from missile flights. Responsibilities will include:

• Perform systems engineering duties for multiple systems simultaneously
  
• Perform Modeling and Simulation (M&S) development, performance analyses, and maintenance
  
• Support Digital Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  
• Interfacing with the other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, electrical, software) to insure proper coordination of the systems aspects of the project
  
• Must have the ability to travel
  
• Requirements analysis and management
  
• Generation of performance and design specifications
  
• Perform system synthesis and develop system architectures
  
• Manage and coordinate system interfaces with other connected systems
  
• Evaluation of design changes to assess impact to interfaces
  
• Perform trade studies, root cause analysis and other technical investigations
  
• Contribute to and present during customer design reviews
  
• Perform system test activities including test planning, test conduct and test reporting
  
  Qualifications:
  
  
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
  
• 4+ years of direct Systems Engineering experience
  
  Preferred:
  
  
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
  
• Demonstrated leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  
• Familiarity with DOORS requirements management software
  
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and cabling diagrams
  
  Special Requirements:
  Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Security clearance are required for this position.
  
  In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $83,500 - $155,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
