Job Description:

We are excited to welcome a Junior Interior Designer to our team in LA! The Junior Interior Designer is responsible for designing and specifying projects throughout Onni Group's mixed-use development portfolio. These responsibilities may include but are not limited to, selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment, drafting floor plans and construction documents, and conducting on-site field verifications. The Designer collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem-solving. In addition, the designer makes sure the assigned projects adhere to the highest safety standard in accordance with all state and federal laws.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Manages the communication with suppliers to attain up-to-date materials
• Conducts market research to determine standards within the market
• Keeps up to date on market trends to influence designs
• Creates design presentations for approval
• Updates and creates AutoCAD drawings, building Reflective Ceiling Plans, Construction Plans, and Finishing and fixture schedules
• Sources furnishings and materials within budget specifications for projects
• Supervises the coordination and installation of all furniture/deliveries and related items on assigned projects
• Assists the Senior Interior Designer with all aspects of the design
• Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • ASID designation or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years of Interior Design experience workingon residential projects preferred
  • Knowledge of local municipal and federal codes
  • Knowledge of and ability to design within ADA guidelines
  • Knowledge of LEED certification
  • Basic understanding of the construction process and ability to interpret construction documents
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • General knowledge of the marketing process for real estate projects such as Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and HTML coding.
  • Exercise extreme attention to detail with strong organizational skills and an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
  • Ability to effectively communicate with project team members or departments
  • Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision at times
  • Must have a car and be willing to drive to and from vendors and job-sites as needed Perks & Benefits:
