Job Description Summary
LaFetra College of Education needs the expertise of a PK-12
partnership coordinator to create and implement processes to bridge
the gap between PK-12 and Higher Education. Provide high-level
coordination and support to the Associate Dean with a focus on
streamlined communication, PK-12 processes, and new initiatives for
PK-12 in growing mutually beneficial relationships with our school
district partners for increased enrollment in the college and
further developing the college's reputation in the PK-12 field.

Specific Duties
- Reports directly to the Associate Dean.
- Partnership Coordination
- Compose correspondence independently on a variety of matters
from notes, rough drafts, and verbal instruction. Assure timely
submission of reports. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and
privileged information. Arrange translation as needed. Coordinate
and facilitate registration for students from partnership school
districts. Implement a system to support various district cohorts
of school district students with ordering books to submit certified
documents to the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
(CTC).
- Partnership Creation
- Coordinate communication between the Partnership team and
school district contacts, including but not limited to
superintendents of schools, executive cabinet members, and
bargaining unit facilitators. Initiate, create, coordinate, and
update MOUs and business agreements/contracts among all partnership
entities.
- Fiscal Support
- Initiate and process payments, contracts, purchase orders, and
expense reports pertaining to Partnership Support, Fieldwork
Office, and Non-Degree Programs. Maintain budget records and
communicate to college leadership. Coordinate billing with Student
Accounts for partnership school districts to ensure all terms of
the contract and MOU is satsified for both entities.
- Event Support
- Assist directors, coordinators, and colleagues from the college
with planning special events, preparations, catering, logistics,
and execution such as LFCE Collegewide meetings, Program Meetings,
EdD Hooding/Commencement ceremonies, and other special events.
Serve as liaison to school district partners in coordination about
events hosted by the college or requiring attendance by partnership
team members to support the overall partnership.
- Fieldwork Support
- Collaborate with Program Chairs, LFCE Fieldwork Office, and
Associate Dean to establish and maintain positive communication
with school district partners to oversee compliance with MOU and
additional contracts.
- Non-degree Program Support
- provide high-level service to all non-degree programs by
implementing a student-first system of support from application to
completion of certificate/credential. Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 3 years of experience coordinating support in PK-12
District
- 3 years of experince with office/clerical support with the
ability to handle high-volume phone calls.
- 3 years of experience providing exceptional customer services
skills
- 3 years of experience working with Microsoft Office (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- 3 years of experience processing MOUs, contracts,
reimbursement, purchase orders, and budget expenses.
- 3 years of administrative experience in a service-oriented
environment, preferably in PK-12 and higher education including
data entry, filing, scanning, etc.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems
such as word processing, managing files, and records. Designing
forms. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times for LFCE
information, data, and records.
- Familiar with the PK-12 communities and partnerships.
- Time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented
skills.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing support to
students, faculty, and staff; ability to multi-task.
- Critical thinking skills, including using logic and reasoning
to identify the strenghts and weaknesses of alternative solutions,
conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks such as communicating
information and processing paperwork; ability to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional customer service skills and strong communication
skills; written/verbal.
- Knowledge and skill in using Banner to retrieve student
records, process overrides, and look up class, faculty, and other
database information.
- 'Knowledge and skills in using advanced Office Suite
functions.
