Description
Our client, a very stable manufacturing company in Santa Fe Springs is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their busy team.
The Accounts Payable Clerk will perform a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. This generally includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, tracking, handling purchase orders, and processing payments.
Main duties and responsibilities include:

• 
  Facilitating payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  
  
• 
  Ensuring outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifying discount opportunities, and issuing purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
  
  
• 
  Assisting with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • 
    1+ years' experience in accounts payable within a high volume environment
    
    
  • 
    Experience working with ERP systems.
    
    
  • 
    Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
    
    
  • 
    Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    
    
  • 
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    
    
  • 
    Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
    
    
  • 
    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as analysis software
    
    
  • 
    Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
