Apple is looking for a natural team leader and design producer to
lead a strong team of Human Interface Design Producers, produce key
projects, and collaborate with Design Managers to provide overall
team leadership in the TV/Video vertical. This is a role for a
problem solver who thinks strategically, and task manager who wants
to have their hands, mind, and heart in several things at once; who
can equally build effective teams, develop direct reports, and
drive detailed design tasks and deliverables across a variety of
products and groups; and who can collaborate well with others. The
team is deeply involved in scaling existing video services as well
as introducing new ones. Its culture is diverse, passionate, grows
with debate, and is wholly customer focused. Design has always been
at the heart of Apple and the work that we do. The Design Producer
plays a big part in upholding these values and driving innovation
and creativity though our design work. The Producer advances design
efforts by diving deeply into the issues at hand, identifying and
mitigating risks to the project, handling dependencies, and leading
all issues impacting deliverables and schedules. They are
responsible for design projects from ideation to delivery. They
guide each project through the design process and ensure forward
momentum by tracking and reporting project status, seeking closure
to open questions, identifying next steps and risks, and
facilitating design reviews. They serve as the liaison between
Design and cross-functional teams. The Managing Producer will lead
projects as well as people. This person will lock arms with leaders
across Design, Product, Engineering and other groups in developing
product roadmaps, project plans, and innovating on the way we work
together to deliver features to our customers. They are leading
vision and purpose, inspiring creativity, and overseeing the
organization and planning of team-wide initiatives.
