Up tp $500 Sign On Bonus!*Momentum -is hiring a -Direct Support Professional I (DSP I) -to provide support to adults with disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional I (DSP I), you will be responsible for the implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) that will lead to or continue to promote independence and personal skills, well assisting in providing a safe and secure home environment for persons supported in Momentum's Independent and Community Living Services program. -Benefits (Part-time): -

• Reliable Schedule -DSP I Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provides assistance with daily living skills in accordance with the persons supported schedule and Individual Service Plan (ISP)
  • Assists with daily needs/tasks within persons supported home -
  • Prompts and provides assistance with medication management, as needed
  • Assists persons supported in all aspects of personal care, including hygiene
  • Assists persons supported in weight bearing and non-weight bearing transfers, as needed
  • Complies with all Momentum policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet departments and/or business needsDSP I Qualifications: -
    
    • Must be 18 years of age or older -
    • Current and valid California driver license, liability insurance, and reliable means of transportation; required -
    • High school diploma or equivalent; required -
    • Must have reliable phone/access to phone (monthly stipend)
    • Minimum of one (1) year experience working with people with developmental and/or other disabilities; preferred - -
    • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate effectively in English
    • Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
    • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs., and transfer individuals -
    • Use of personal vehicle for assignments throughout service areas not normally assigned; highly preferred -
    • Valid certification in CPR/First Aid (Training included); preferred -
    • Must be available to travel throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties, as needed (mileage reimbursed) -*Sign on Bonus will be paid in two payments.
