Perkins Eastman Studio, has an immediate opening in our downtown
Los Angeles office for an experienced intermediate Architectural
Designer with an Interiors Specialization and/or an Intermediate
Interior Designer with a portfolio of institutional, educational,
cultural, healthcare or a combination of these building/space
types.The ideal candidate will work closely with other designers
and architects on the project teams to which they are assigned to
design, document and execute the project through installation. The
Interior Designer will participate in programming, visioning,
designing, selecting and documenting interior architectural
elements, finishes and furniture. If you care to make a difference,

:
- Work closely with Sr. Interior Architects to develop inventive
and cost-effective design solutions
- Develop materials and details to effectively convey design
ideas and solutions through hand sketching, digital modeling and
renderings
- Interface with team members, clients, contractors, agencies, as
well as engineering and specialty consultants
- Produce architectural design and construction documents and
provide content for architectural specifications
- Lead selection, planning and specification of Furniture
Furnishings and Equipment (FF&E) packages
- Participate in project client and team meetings and record
meeting outcomes
- Oversee the firm's resource materials library, including
coordinating & scheduling vendor visits and keeping resources
current. Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of professional interior design experience in
large scale projects
- Project experience with institutional, higher education,
healthcare or a combination of those building types is
preferred.
- Strong conceptual and design skills and ability to work
independently with minimal supervision
- Strong aesthetic sense, technical understanding, solid
knowledge in sourcing finish materials and products, and
familiarity with custom fabrication.
- Familiarity with building and life safety codes and their
correct application to Interiors work
- Ability to meet aggressive deadlines while maintaining
high-quality work
- Strong verbal & written communication skills; fluency in
English (oral and written communication)
- Proficiency in Affinity and MS Office suite (Excel,
PowerPoint)
- A degree from an accredited school of Architecture or Interior
Architecture
- Registered architect or CID certification a plus
- LEED certification required.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and be living
in Los Angeles areaType: Hybrid. 2-3 days in office, flexible
days/working hoursSalary Range: $63,000 to $78,100We are seeking a
