rtOur client, an investor in agriculture land and orchards (pistachios and almonds), real estate and equities, is searching for a Chief Financial Officer to join their team. This position will be based out of their headquarters in Los Angeles.rrtrrtReporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Financial Officer will serve on the Executive Management Team. They will manage the Accounting and Finance departments, monitor and evaluate current investment performances and perform investment analysis, including evaluating and underwriting new investments.rrtrrtRESPONSIBILITIES:rrtrttDirect and manage all accounting and finance work internally & externallyrtrttEnsure all financial statement and accounting information are accurate and done in a timely manner by randomly checking the information & tasksrtrttEnsuring compliance with laws and regulating agenciesrtrttDevelop and implement policy and procedures including internal controls for checks and balancesrtrttConduct day-to-day responsibility of planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all financial related activities of the companyrtrttProactively improve functions and/or identify opportunities to improve the bottom linertrttMake recommendations where investment performance targets are not met or could be improved and communicate risksrtrttReview and determine whether adequate insurance is in place to cover all reasonable risksrtrttManaging and evaluation stock portfolios, money managers, private equity and private placementsrtrttAssist CEO in finding new investmentrtrttReview, implement and/or develop of the organization s strategic goals for growthrtrttEvaluate, underwrite, prepare proforma and conduct in depth due diligence for purchase of new investmentsrtrttFollow through all aspects of acquisition & procuring financingrrrtrrtrrtDESIRED PROFILE:rrtrttA minimum of 5-7, years of experience as a CFO rtrttBachelor s degree in accounting, Finance or Business, MBA preferredrtrttCPA license preferredrtrttExperience in investment analysis, evaluation and underwriting of new investmentsrtrttExperience working in a small companyrtrttStrong decision making, critical thinking ability, leadership, management, problem-solving and data management skillsrtrttProficient with office software toolsrtrttExperience in planning and budgetingrtrttExperience in farming, pistachio or almonds a plusrr,
