Job Description:

Real estate company is seeking an Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper to support their team. The ideal candidate has previous experience in bookkeeping. Responsibilities : Accounting

  • Process of all accounts payable using current budget GL codes in a timely manner
  • Organizing and entering of invoices
  • Preparation of bill details and requesting approvals
  • Printing of physical checks for payments
  • Maintain property management accounting records on AppFolio, including setting up new properties/bank accounts for acquisitions
  • Update and record tenant charges and receipts
  • Follow up with tenants to ask for rents owed
  • Daily updates of rent tracker, with specific comments and next actions for each tenant
  • Prepare monthly reports and financial statements to be sent to investors and lenders
  • Assist in lease administration (reading and extracting relevant information)
  • Assist in preparing yearly CAM Reconciliations
  • Respond to Asset Manager, higher management, and/or company accountants on accounting-related questions Administrative
    • Ensure formatting is consistent and effective for presentation
    • Organize Tenant, Vendor, and Contractors file systems (Leases, COIs, any other relevant documents)
    • Manage business processes, including following-up with relevant persons to make sure deadlines are met
    • Create simple lease amendments Required Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's (Preferred)
      • Experience with AppFolio highly preferred
      • Accounting background with a minimum 3 years experience as an accountant with accompanying education background is required
      • Microsoft Excel - proficiency and efficiency in creating required reports required
