Job Description:
You will be part of the project management team responsible for
resort room renovations at the Walt Disney World Resort. You will
participate in the coordination, implementation, control, and
completion of the procurement of owner-furnished items.
Construction knowledge is required to understand steps associated
with multiple renovation projects, and working with our clients to
ensure as minimal impact to our operations as possible. The skills
needed to be successful will encompass computer knowledge to
initiate contracts and purchase orders and to follow the
progression of the procurement process with correspondence, field
directives, and all other documentation processes to complete the
successful procurement of owner-furnished items.You will report to
the Manager of Programs.Responsibilities : Review design materials,
specifications, drawings to understand project design
intentQuantify all Owner-Furnished Item (OFI) specifications to
establish the proper quantity of fabrics, flooring, case goods,
lighting, seating, wall covering, soft goods, inclusive of attic
stock to purchase by the Owner to complete the project.Develop the
project procurement budget and cash flow forecasts for the duration
of the project.Develop and track the project procurement schedule
by forecasting when OFI needs to arrive to support the project
implementation schedule and act as primary vendor contact for all
expediting activities.Develop Bid Packages by commodity to include
all details necessary to ensure vendors understand Owner's
requirements and expectations.Work with project team members and
internal Sourcing and Procurement (S&P) partners or external
Procurement Agents (PA) to gain concurrence on bidding processes,
vendor resources to be considered, expected deliverables, review
bids.Be the project team's main contact for all procurement
bid-related communications.Issue requisitions in SAP and update
actual cost information in all budget and project management
information tools (Budget Spreadsheet, Project Matrix, Project
Schedule)Manage vendor communications relative to the PO, i.e.
provide production approval, ensure adherence to scheduled delivery
and shipping criteria, goods receipts, PO payment, product defect
or damage resolution.Manage manufacturing submittal process
(cuttings for approval, shop drawings, prototypes)Manage goods
receipts, product review and confirmation of product quality and
adherence to specifications and design intent drawings.Manage the
project warehouse relationship associated with OFI receipts as
products arrive.Manage the systematic release of OFI for
installation per the project schedule. - Coordinate with the
General Contractor and installation Sub-Contractor relative to OFI
handling.Reconcile OFI inventory levels at warehouse and all
Sub-Contractors' possession of OFI to ensure compliance with
forecasted quantity usage.Work within a team environmentBasic
Qualifications : Experience in Sourcing and ProcurementExperience
with Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment productsPreferred
Qualifications: Experience in construction documentation such as
Shop Design and other design documentsConstruction management
software such as PM WebExperience with the development,
procurement, and logistics with Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment
productsRequired Education : Bachelor's degree from a 4-year
