-What is the role?Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, the
Business Development Associate will support the conceptualization,
preparation and management of proposals and presentations for
services & offerings that extend Larta's brand to new and existing
clients and partners. You will also maintain customer management
systems that support Business Development efforts. -You will engage
in research, preparation for meetings, and direct follow-up with
prospects/clients as well as internal teams at Larta. Strong client
management and writing skills are essential.The Business
Development Associate fills a critical role in engaging and growing
Larta's customer and support base. -What would my day look
like?
--- - - - - - -Assist in the production of feasibility studies,
research, and proposals for new business development opportunities.
This includes formulating budgets, timelines and briefs associated
with Business Development prospects to facilitate internal
discussion.
--- - - - - - -Evaluate competitive environment and suggests
activities or efforts to maintain relevance.
--- - - - - - -Identify, schedule, and coordinate C-Suite and VIP
meetings for business development purposes.
--- - - - - - -Recruit and cultivate event sponsorships.
--- - - - - - -Support the Business Development department in
maintaining tools and CRM systems, including HubSpot, to track
client follow-up and communications in a timely manner. Includes
the generation of reports.
--- - - - - - -Establish and maintain regular internal
communication with Program Operations Team and Focus Area Leads to
stay current on program specifics, planning, and delivery.
--- - - - - - -Assist in developing an evaluation process to gain
feedback from clients, sponsors and constituents.
--- - - - - - -Additional duties as assigned.---What skills and
experience does Larta require?
--- - - - - - -Bachelor's degree (preferably in business,
economics, or any other business-related field)
--- - - - - - -Strong interest in science-based innovation and
entrepreneurship
--- - - - - - -Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Highly proficient in Office 365, specifically Excel, Word and
PowerPointo - -Good written communication skills using Word for
reports, and PowerPoint for visual presentations. -Charts, graphs
and other visual representations are important aspects of this
work. -
--- - - - - - -Strong account management and communication
skills
--- - - - - - -Strong project management skills
--- - - - - - -Strategic selling experience and developing
relationships at the C-Suite level
--- - - - - - -Ability to work well under pressure and
simultaneously manage multiple issues and assignments in a
fast-paced environment
--- - - - - - -Ability to foster partnerships with
customers/clients and a track record of prospecting and closing
deals preferred
--- - - - - - -Ability to develop and facilitate meetings and
relationships with C-Suite executives.
--- - - - - - -Familiarity with philanthropic grant funding
preferred
--- - - - - - -Understanding of the broad technology/innovation
industry, -key players, trends, -etc. and interest in technology
