Vista Del Mar provides a trauma-responsive continuum of services to
empower children, youth, and families in Southern California to
lead fulfilling lives. Role Overview: The Multidisciplinary
Assessment Team (MAT) Assessor --- Intensive Community-Based
Services (ICBS) is responsible for rendering assessments directly
related to a newly detained child by the Department of Children and
Family Services (DCFS). Emphasis is placed on interviewing the most
pertinent people in the child---s life in order to complete a
thorough psychosocial assessment and Summary of Findings that will
help the courts in their decision-making process regarding the
future plans for a child. What You Bring to VDM : Master---s degree
from a recognized program of social work or marriage and family
therapy. Must be registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences
(BBS). 5 years of experience preferred. Excellent written and
communication skills. Desire to work cooperatively within a team
framework. Trained within the MAT program. CA Driver---s License
(good driving record) COVID Vaccination Card (fully vaccinated)
