Job Summary:The Account Specialist, Residential Systems is a new position created by LG Energy Solution's rapid growth within the North American residential battery market. Reporting to the Residential Business Director (based in CA) the Account Specialist will be responsible for sales and operational tasks consistent with effective account management as designated by the Director. These activities include but are not limited to:

  • Establish, maintain and develop relationships with distributors, resellers, installers, utilities, equipment partners, consultants and market data providers
  • Develop and prepare high quality customer-facing deliverables with the team in US and Korea
  • Ensure customers/channel partners/etc. needs are fully understood and that plans are being followed to meet expectations.
  • Accountable for the quality and accuracy of projects that flow through the organization
  • Support and participate in legislative initiatives to grow the market favorable to the residential business
  • Identify areas where our support is not meeting expectations and in conjunction with the Director implement a recovery plan.
  • Under the direction of the Director, identify opportunities to grow LGES's residential business in NA via new markets, products & partnerships
  • Develop an understanding of the NA residential battery market including key markets, supporting legislative initiatives, competitors, and technologies. Become familiar with battery systems and the main elements of an integrated energy storage system.
  • Establish effective relationships with key LGES personnel based in Korea and within the US based team.The successful candidate will require an understanding of distribution and/or reseller channel partner sales. Candidate must be able to identify clients' needs, generate solutions and respond to customer requests in a timely manner. This requires the individual to have highly effective communications capabilities, time management skills and the ability to develop and nurture effective relationships with customers. The role will be within a fast-paced, team-oriented, international business.QualificationsThe successful candidate will possess:
    • Minimum of 3 years work experience in an equipment sales role or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in managing customer accounts
    • Work experience in project development for DER or C&I is a plus
    • Knowledge of engineering drawings and specifications
    • Proven track record of completing tasks with minimum supervision
    • Excellent data analytic skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
    • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and presentation
    • Prior solar/energy industry experience strongly preferredEducation
      • A Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, in a technical or business/marketing discipline is preferred.
