OVERVIEW
TMZ is a pop-culture news powerhouse known worldwide for breaking the biggest stories on the planet! This role will be dedicated to the TMZ brand and its universe of platforms - which includes on-air, digital, social media and even a celebrity tour!

THE ROLE
The Brand Strategist will report to the Executive Director, Brand Development & Partnerships, and will be responsible for driving day-to-day management of branded entertainment, marketing, and partnership-based initiatives. It's an exciting, high-profile role in a fast-paced environment, that will require oversight of creative development, production, and strategic marketing programs. Plus, this role will interface directly with executive producers and senior level production staff, as well as key brand clients.

This individual will brainstorm creative ideas for brands, and actually see ideas grow from the pitch phase into a piece of content living within the TMZ ecosystem (whether it's in a show, on the website, on social media, or even on the TMZ Tour). Furthermore, they will supervise strategic marketing campaigns for TMZ products, series, specials, and other partnerships as needed.

The right candidate for this role will be someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, organized, agile and possesses a strong ability to prioritize under pressure. This individual is also someone who is capable of diplomacy on the client and corporate side, but can pivot to be casual, quick and concise in communications with production. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead creative development of custom ideas for on-air segments, digital content, social media executions, and out-of-home opportunities for brand partners in collaboration with sales departments
Curate proposals, and present ideas to advertisers, partners and key internal stakeholders
Pitch creative to executive producers and senior level production staff, and collaborate with them to determine creative opportunities for brand programs
Oversee production of custom branded content across on-air, digital, social and out-of-home platforms - both in the field and in-studio - and work cross-functionally with numerous departments to produce on-brand content that exceeds client expectations
Manage outside talent relationships and communications, when required
Own all social media elements related to advertiser campaigns and internal strategic marketing campaigns, and facilitate implementation with the social media department
Supervise strategic marketing programs to promote TMZ products, series, specials, and other partnerships that further the TMZ brand
Curate and distribute materials - including calendars, status reports, new business reports, and pending opportunity files - pertaining to all brand campaigns
Review news stories, field producer reports and series run-down content schedules daily, and escalate any overlap with purchased/pitched campaigns
Draft contract scopes of work, create pre-production/production materials, and develop activation timelines as required to produce brand programs

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree
5-7 years of experience required at media agency, publisher, or studio/network (preferably in integrated marketing or sales)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Suite (e.g. Sheets, Docs) of professional products, and social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Snapchat)
Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, organized, responsive, deadline-driven and resourceful
Self-sufficient, but also knows when to escalate questions and/or concerns before moving forward
Demonstrates solid judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills
Creative with a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism
