Job Description TechStyleOS is looking for an experienced QA Lead with hands-on experience testing the functionality of e-commerce sites. As a QA Lead, you will work in a collaborative environment alongside product managers, engineers, UX, and cross-functional teams. The QA Lead will need to have excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple key initiative projects at the same time. You will be working with an offshore QA group, and assisting in training, test case reviews, and managing workloads. In addition, this role manages and coordinates quality processes, tools and metrics that result in the delivery of high-quality products. This position will report to the Sr QA Manager. Responsibilities: Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables. Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications. Database querying for testing, in Microsoft SQL environment. Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan. Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, as well as identify use-cases, negative testing, and exploratory testing. Can implement new process changes successfully by introducing concepts to the team, defining benefits, listing dependencies, and guiding the roll-out process. Execute and evaluate manual test cases and report test results. Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Lead and mentor an offshore QA group, while managing their workloads - assigning key initiative and rapid response tickets and communicating priorities. Being a leader on the QA and Product teams in terms of morale. Learn team dynamics and culture and how to keep team morale high during challenging moments. Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management. Help with issue classification and triage - Isolate, replicate, and report defects. Liaison with a global team of developers, product managers, customer support, and UX. Understand and navigate engineering/stakeholder personalities, effectively collaborating to improve overall output, meet goals, and achieve optimal team performance. Use key metrics to report on QA/Product team performance. Understanding of how to leverage automation in testing efforts and the ability to identify tests that would be optimal candidates for automation. Working closely with the automation engineers to provide coverage for key initiative projects. Ensures QA processes are adhered to. Take initiative in finding opportunities to improve the testing process. Provides status and metric on all QA projects using dashboards and reports. Collaborate with Development and Release Teams for deployments into test environments. CI/CD integration. Helps define and communicate the QA vision. What are it's principles and best practices Leveraging automation to enable engineering to move fast while meeting quality standards. Establishing quantitative measures for success. Qualifications: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of relevant QA technical experience within an agile (continuous deployment) environment, preferably in e-commerce 1+ year of leading and managing a global QA team. Effectively organizing and delegating tasks across QA team members to complete projects. Strong QA Methodologies within SDLC Working Knowledge of SQL syntax for data validation Experience with automation tools and test frameworks are pluses Ability to understand and create clear, concise detail oriented test plans/cases from requirements or verbal communications. Strong verbal and written communication skills Knowledge utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence/BitBucket/TestRail) Demonstrated history of continuous learning and ability to stay current with technology trends Ability to measure the quality of products; run quality metrics, understand how to evaluate and improve quality of products. Experience working and managing offshore QA vendors and holding them to quality performance goals. Proven knack for thriving in a fast-paced, global work environment. Capability to pivot focus and reprioritize responsibilities based on business needs. Track record leading teams through challenges with a positive attitude and team-first approach.
