The Process Engineering Manager is responsible for developing strategy and delivering recommendations on how to maintain staff levels and lower cost, while meeting all quality standards set forth by the company. The successful candidate will work side by side with Manufacturing Operations staff to discover inefficiencies in business processes and then determine the best ways to bring our business methods in line with financial goals.


  • Manages a team responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment. Responsible for operational excellence and continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production.
  • Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility as well as budget attainment.
  • Lead, identify, facilitate, and execute projects and initiatives using various Lean tools and methodologies including but not limited to Process Management, Visual Management, Standard Work, Root-Cause Problem-Solving (including methodologies like Six Sigma), Value Stream Mapping, and Kaizen
  • Responsible for ensuring that the manufacturing process works at the optimum level, to the right rate and quality of output, in order to meet KPI's (Safety, Volume, Efficiency, Cost, Yields, Service)
  • Provide converting and manufacturing engineering leadership
  • Identify, develop, document and maintain Process Capability metrics and statistical process Control Plans and PFMEAs
  • Lead manufacturing validation for all new releases
  • Manage the Tooling Management Program for components operation
  • Cross-functional teamwork to solve complex problems and recommend improvements (R&D, IDZ, NPI, Finance, Production, Maintenance, Assembly, Customer)
  • Manage/prioritize multiple small-scale projects in a dynamic fast paced environment
  • Assess processes for their relevance and assess the adequacy of engineering equipment.
  • Interface with internal engineering disciplines (mechanical, chemical, maintenance, tooling etc.) to ensure coordinated design and complete engineering deliverables


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related engineering field
  • 8+ years of experience
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing
  • Experience using Statistical Process Controls - SPC - and AutoCAD
  • Ability to use systematic approach for Root Cause Analysis and demonstrated knowledge of systems/processes to ensure data driven decisions
  • Ability to coach and work with teams undertaking Continuous Improvement activities
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple complex simultaneously
  • Advanced MS Office skills


  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Bilingual - English / Spanish
  • Project Management/LEAN Manufacturing certification
  • Minitab Software to perform/analyze Design of Experiments
