Who We're Looking For
Skillz is looking to hire highly skilled and motivated deal
hunters into the Business Development Team. This role will report
into the relevant Business Development Industry Lead. By leveraging
your deep knowledge of gaming, digital media and mobile landscapes,
you will drive growth opportunities for Skillz through strategic
partnerships. You will work alongside cross-functional teams to
identify new partnerships and execute upon those ideas. You are a
person who is exceptionally skilled at building personal
relationships and navigating complex marketing organizations and
agencies. You thrive in finding and establishing new business
connections and enjoy "the hunt". You are thoughtful, personable
and willing to do what it takes to successfully execute a
What You Will Do
- Work with cross functional teams to identify new categories to
expand the Skillz platform to acquire new players and games
- Drive growth and sell through of branded opportunities across
- Identify and engage with key contacts are prospective partner
organizations to define and craft new partnerships
- Create accurate performance forecasts and deliver upon deal
- Report regularly to the team on the status of key opportunities
- BS / BA degree from a top tier school required
- 5+ years of experience in digital ad sales or business
development (media, gaming, online consumer)
- Sound business judgment, problem solving and analytical problem
- Exceptional written and verbal skills
- Fluency in digital media advertising
- Gaming and esports industry knowledge a plus
- Experience with brand licensing a plus
