Signal Engineers to join our Transit & Rail Systems Group. When you

In an increasingly complex and financially constrained
environment, Gannett Fleming recognizes that safety, operating
efficiency, state of good repair, stakeholder requirements, and
risk mitigation drive program success. We provide planning,
engineering, program delivery, testing, and commissioning services
to the transit and freight rail industries and offer extensive
experience in rail and bus systems, transit facilities, and civil
and structural infrastructure. We deliver system expansions and
upgrades for bus, commuter railroads, freight railroads, and light
and heavy rail transit systems.
Our signal designers and engineers will develop drawings and
plans, technical specification, technical reports, cost estimates
and project schedules in accordance with our customers' needs. Work
may also entail the oversight of commissioning and testing during
the implementation phase of a project.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the
- Provide final signal designs for pre-wired locations and
modifications to existing signal locations. Plans should be capable
of being sent to a wiring shop when finished by the candidate.
- Perform design calculations, prepare material and equipment
specifications, and provide preliminary sketches and notes for
- Perform system design layout and sizing for assigned
- Responsible to coordinate the design with other disciplines,
attend design coordination meetings with team members and client
- Prepare electronically generated drawings with accuracy,
neatness, and speed, maintaining high quality and uniform standards
of lines and lettering.
- Review shop drawings, record changes and keep all disciplines
informed of details and schedules.
- Coordinate the contract documents with the construction
personnel and participates (under supervision) in site inspections
during construction as required.
- Perform field data collection and/or field system
- Perform studies and selection of equipment to fit the project
- BS in an Engineering field preferred, candidates with multiple
years of signal design andor train control experience andor control
center experience will also be considered.
- 5+ years of applicable experience.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary programs.
