Acutus Medical is an exciting and growing team of innovative professionals focused on the development of medical technologies that will revolutionize the treatment strategies of patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias. We are currently looking for an Electrophysiology Therapy Manager.

Position Overview

The primary role of the Therapy Manager is to provide first class clinical training and education to current and new customers, as well as employees. This will include the ability to fully understand and translate intracardiac ECG's and 3D electro anatomical maps for understanding the nature of the arrhythmias and provide advice on appropriate procedural strategies. The Therapy Manager must have experience and the ability to translate those skills into the EP lab where he/she will be required to provide professional support during clinical procedures at each account throughout the designated territory. This is a high-profile position where customers will expect to be supported and trained by an Acutus Medical expert who can work as a valued resource with all levels of staff, including high profile key opinion leaders. This role involves extensive travel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides expert technical and clinical advice/supporting and mapping capabilities during ACM procedures, acting as a primary point of contact for stakeholders in the assigned regions providing educational activities & case support.
  • Develops relationships with physicians and strategically important customers to drive product usage in line with corporate objectives in Acutus customer sites.
  • Implements training programs and materials for effectively introducing new customers to the Acutus Medical products and procedures and new technologies to Acutus customers.
  • Gathers market intelligence, customer needs and requirements. Developing account strategies to guarantee long-term commercial success of the company.
  • Reports field observations and/or customer complaints, associated with Acutus Medical products and services.
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Networks with more senior internal and external colleagues in own area of expertise.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may coordinate activities of other colleagues with limited supervision.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related hands-on experience and bachelor's degree or professional certification in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specifically, a Bachelor's Degree in a related Life Sciences discipline and clinical experience working directly with Electrophysiology physicians and associated healthcare professionals (either in Industry or as a medical professional). International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certified is desired.
  • A qualified candidate will have experience in EP, Cath lab environment and be able to ability to understand/present/ teach detailed technical and clinical information, to all levels of customers.
  • Must have comprehensive EP experience including:
  • High level of understanding mechanisms of basic and complex arrhythmias and experience running 3D mapping systems (Biosense-Webster Carto or St.Jude Navx or other mapping systems)
  • Normal conduction system
  • High level of understanding mechanisms of basic and complex arrhythmias using IC-recordings
  • High level of understanding different ablation systems and techniques

  • Must have excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to design, lead and execute customer and employee clinical training projects.
  • A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
