The Regional Customer Service Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive internal and external marketing and sales plan to increase revenues and profitability of the business in the assigned region. The Manager will support the long term strategic goals of the organization by identifying business opportunities, by building key customer relationships and by leveraging the existing customer base.

Scope and Responsibilities:

Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Based in California. Offices in Valencia (CA).
  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • Completes market research and analysis to determine sales potential and prepare sales forecast.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, values of the organization and maintains confidentiality of all intellectual property and product technologies.
  • Identifies new customers by networking, cold calling, or other means to generate interest in the marketplace.
  • Grows and retains existing accounts utilizing value selling techniques and product portfolio solutions.
  • Tracks and records sales activity by account and assist in closing orders as required.
  • Prepares proposals and submits to Fives MTSS headquarters for processing.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions, evaluates risks and opportunities for attracting new accounts.
  • Works closely with the regional sales team to strengthen existing customer relationships and to support sales efforts as required.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with the internal support team by adhering to existing. processes and working with the team to improve processes as appropriate.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations to prospective customers to introduce the product portfolio and to evaluate customer needs; communicates to organizational leadership needs that are not currently being served.
  • Regularly reports out to leadership highlighting results related to new customers, sales results, and bookings.
  • Is the acting office manager for the Service Center based in Valencia (CA).

Education and Experiences


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from four year college or university; or 5-8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Five to eight years selling aftermarket services and solutions to machine tool customers.
  • Strong Operational experience within the Machine Tools Business, can be on the OEM, the Aftermarket or the operations/ maintenance side.
  • Capital goods marketing solutions.


  • Ability to successfully lead multiple major projects.
  • Ability to apply value selling techniques to grow and retain customer base.
  • Effective team leadership.
  • Communication - verbal and written.
  • Microsoft office software - including Microsoft Project.
  • Working knowledge of SAP.

Must be U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident.
