Independently plans, prepares, and conducts a wide variety of routine and non-routine (complex) laboratory procedures. Oversees multiple projects at a time. Records, tabulates, and analyzes data and assists with and provides expertise in the preparation of papers, posters, and scientific publications. Assists in training staff and may provide functional supervision to assigned laboratory personnel. Minimum Education/Training Required: Master#s degree or above, in a related scientific field#(e.g., biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or#psychology), plus 3 or more years of experience#performing independent laboratory research#experiments. Or Bachelor#s degree, in a related scientific field (e.g.,#biology, microbiology, biochemistry, or psychology),#plus 5 or more years of experience performing#independent laboratory research experiments. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: # Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices and methods # Proficient in specific lab research techniques # Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications including MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project a plus. # Demonstrated strong computer skills and the ability to learn and become proficient with other appropriate software systems. # Excellent interpersonal and client management skills with a professional and customer service oriented demeanor. # Excellent verbal and written communication skills, which may include business and technical writing, editing, and proofreading. ## Experience working with laboratory data/information management systems or laboratory database would be beneficial.
