Our team is responsible for Intuit's cloud runtime security. The ideal candidate will join a team of motivated software engineers with a passion for solving cloud security problems through technology.What you'll bring* BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience* Object Oriented programming skills in Python, and a willingness to learn other languages (e.g. GoLang, Scala, R) as needed.* Conceptual Data models where they help communicate requirements* Experience with data pipeline building, backend microservice development, and REST API using Python or comparable language.* Design and code documentation* Tools and processes required for delivery, movement, and processing of raw data according to conditions outlined in project requirements documents* Familiarity with database fundamentals including SQL, and schema design.How you will lead* Collaborates with the security engineering team and business stakeholders to develop and prioritize hypotheses that are central to address the security challenges and links them to complex, multi-source data in order to explore, generate and test business assumptions* Creates complex software programs and applications for acquisition, processing, and management of massive quantities of data (big data) using high-level programming languages* Drives the planning in complex inquiries essential for well-designed hypothesis and experimentation* Leads teams in complex analytical initiatives combining data from multiple sources to extract meaning , reconcile assumptions, and identify logical path for action* Collaborates with others in building innovative data capture and real-time analytic capabilities needed by the business (e.g. requirements identification, design specification, prototype testing)* Advises and mentors the work of colleagues towards the building of vibrant community of practice* Collaborates with Data Architects on changes associated with data systems or system interfaces* Recommends/sets data standards to improve quality of data and speed of analysis
