Job DescriptionRaytheon Technologies Space Systems is currently in need for a Space Vehicle (SV) Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for a classified space systems program. The Space Vehicle (SV) IPT Lead is responsible for ensuring the assigned team---s objectives are achieved on schedule, within budget, and consistent with quality and technical standards. The SV IPT lead oversees execution on all aspects of the systems engineering, integration and test team---s work products. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership, control account ownership, guidance, and direct interfacing with internal and external customers. The SV IPTL---s responsibilities include the overall technical execution of the systems engineering, integration, test, IV&V functions, and communication and interface with program leadership. The candidate will be responsible for cost and schedule, task management, staffing coordination, variance analysis and earned value reporting, and risks & opportunities. Additionally, the SV IPTL will supervise systems engineering, system requirements, system testing, updating of test procedures, and generation of sell-off reports. He/She will also support technical solution characterization, in addition to leading design reviews, gate reviews, test readiness reviews, trade studies and other required reviews. The candidate needs to demonstrate the ability to work in a high paced, high demand program environment, and to manage SV-focused SEIT resources (including staff, facilities, and equipment) efficiently. Finally, the candidate must also successfully interface with Raytheon Technologies Product Area Chief Engineer(s) and lead the management of subcontractors --- as applicable.Responsibilities include:Establishes thorough plan of execution to accomplish scope of workWorks with the Program Manager and Chief Engineer to establish program organization, schedule (IMS) and milestonesResponsible for total ownership of the day-to-day operation of the multidisciplinary/cross-functional team with demonstrated skill at Cross-IPT collaboration, ensuring the associated products are developed and delivered within the allotted cost, schedule, technical quality and performance parametersSupports tailoring of systems engineering processes commensurate with programs cost/scheduleWorks with Program Manager and Program Chief Engineer to ensure contract requirements satisfactionCoordinates with Control Account Managers (CAM) to provide detailed task description, budget and schedule requirements to each functional organization directly supporting the Team and tracks task status to closureEnsures early identification, communication and mitigation of technical, cost and/or schedule risks for all aspects of the Team---s product scopeApproves engineering products/deliverables: plans, requirements, designs, reviews, CDRLsOversees the technical budget (KPP, TPM) at the product level Responsible for delivery of Systems Analyses: dynamics (low & high freq), SV power, SV mass, survivability (radiation), EMI/EMC, reliabilityResponsible for development of ConOps and interface with Mission Design teamResponsible for development of Signatures and Constraints / System DescriptionResponsible for delivery of Recommended Operating Procedures and ProcessesSupports teammates and sub-contractors trades-studies and analysis and assists in make/buy decisionsExecute the integrated I&T product up to and including delivery to the customer and post-delivery support.Responsible for Requirements Verification, Validation and Data Analyses and TrendingResponsible for Testing at the subsystem and SV levelResponsible for Test Procedures at the subsystem and SV level.Participate in program readiness and design reviewsEnsure product integrity, system performance, and system functionality. Review all engineering inputs to gates and independent reviews.Coordinate, write, and deliver technical presentations to both internal and external customersDevelopment of Team Members for Mission Ops Team/IPTDemonstrated skill at anomaly recovery, including formal RCCA (root cause corrective action) leadershipAble to maintain and motivate a highly skilled teamDemonstrated skill to mentor and grow team membersRequired Skills: Minimum 12 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Integration & TestKnowledge of Space Systems (space vehicle) and Space-to-Ground systems interfacesKnowledge of space-based imaging and communication systemsExperience in cost/schedule development and management (EVMS)Experience in deploying a rigorous Integrated Product Development ProcessExperience in risk and opportunity analysis, tracking and mitigationCapable of effectively working in a team environment, often under tight deadlinesDemonstrated leadership experience in systems engineering processes, including requirements definition, design, test planning, test execution, data analysis, and operations supportDemonstrated engineering leadership experience and proven track record.Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation), with prior experience in dealing with customers, management, technical staff, and internal / external organizations.Experience leading teams and IPT---s, using tools and metrics in managing activities, and interfacing with senior program and functional managementActive TS clearanceU.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
