As a transformation leader and member of the Co-CEO l eadership t eam, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will be an empowered thought leader who partners with Gensler’s Co-CEOs , COO , and other key business managers throughout the firm to preserve and enhance Gensler’s entrepreneurial and creative culture .

The CHRO will be a vital change agent and innovator taking a lead role in identifying organizational strengths, vulnerabilities and opportunities.  Equally critical is your role as a relationship-builder across the firm’s eleven regions and within the executive team. Y ou will drive the charge in managing the HR strategy , building a roadmap, and improving processes and programs to grow and retain our talented professionals .

The CHRO will be responsible for developing and executing consistent , fully integrated HR service delivery models across our regions , by building trust, and through collaboration and influence. You will also own the more centralized aspects of Gensler’s global HR platform, which includ e Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Compensation and Benefits, Mobility, Employment Practices, and HR Analytics.

Gensler ’s CHRO must have strong business acumen and a long-view mentality. The events of 2020 have rapidly moved Gensler to a virtual world , and y ou will be instrumental in developing adaptable global talent s olutions that leverage data , analytics , and digital tools and strategies to help address the merging of personal and professional lives.

What You Will Do

Build comprehensive strategic talent acquisition, management and retention plans with a focus on DE&I

P artner with executive leadership to design the organization's compensation philosophy, strategy and program s to ensure pay equity and marketplace competitiveness

D esign and implement comprehensive health and wellness programs focused on the diverse needs of our professionals

Drive insights with our people-centric data; c reate HR benchmarks, metrics and analytics which provide a foundation for informed, data-driven decision-making

Global and Regional Leadership

Lead, mentor , and empower the Regional and Global HR t eam s in the design, implementation and execution of HR strategy in support of Gensler’s mission

Insti ll and teach operational excellence and encourage learning; Collaborate with your teams to i nnovate new ways of working across a global talent pool to optimize performance

A ttract , hire , and retain top talent, with a focus on diversity and inclusion; Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Talent Development teams

Use data and technology to drive productivity and forecast workforce trends; Work closely with HRIS and Information Systems Teams

Partner with the Data Platform Team on HR systems integration and process documentation and automation

Build trusted advisory relationships with senior executives, critical stakeholders, and business partners as a subject matter expert

Promote inclusion in the workplace and establish Gensler’s position as an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion

Oversee organizational compliance with international, federal, state and local regulations

Your Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology or related field; M aster’s Degree a plus

Certifications: SHRM-SCP and GPHR strongly preferred

Minimum of 10-15 executive level experience leading Human Resources in a professional services environment

D emonstrated success in leading an organization to wards “Best in Class” ; innate ability to drive thought leadership around our values and build cohesive HR practices that put people first

Skilled at influencing others and gaining stakeholder trust and confidence

Experience managing operational budget s and HR vendor relationships

HRIS and payroll integration experience a plus; Workday and ADP preferred

Willingness to adapt to future state HR technologies and automated processes
