Job Description:
Develop strategies to drive category growth including defining
product development pipelines, product positioning, and key messaging;
Lead marketing efforts in product development from ideation to
concept through introduction to market; Support growth of category in
key markets as defined by strategic plan; Conduct marketing research
and analysis to develop product definitions; Develop and maintain an
expert knowledge of technology and market trends; Provide business case
and technical justification for new product development concepts;
Develop global launch plans for new products; Lead category global
teams ensuring timely communication of category information and input
of regional needs; Support regions with launch of new products;
Prepare Tollgate marketing documents for all phases of product
development and introduction to market; Collect and share best sales/marketing
practice and disseminate to regions and local markets; Manage
day-to-day communications with markets outside the U.S. to support business
needs; and Provide segment strategic plan for input into company
strategic plan. Position requires up to 25% travel. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field or related
field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5)
years of experience in job or in marketing, strategy planning, operations
or process improvements within global manufacturing. OR Master’s degree in Engineering or related field (willing to
accept foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years’ experience
in job or in marketing, strategy planning, operations or process
improvements within global manufacturing. Skills Requirements: Experience must include extracting data using Tableau and
Discoverer to analyze data to identify patterns and manage product
lifecycle, including creating statistical models to analyze unmet customer
needs and provide input to R&D to translate findings into
engineering requirements for new products. Performing and analyzing
qualitative and quantitative market research of new product launches to
create segmentation and define targeting and positioning. Using Pivot
Tables and VBA for Excel to create business plans, rollover plans and
financial forecast for new launches. Creating financial models to forecast
base revenue stream and value of potential synergies of potential
acquisition targets or PLA opportunities. Using linear regression software
(SPSS, Analytics for Excel) to intercept patterns in the demand and
adjust the product portfolio strategy accordingly. Performing conjoint
analysis using Sawtooth software to understand how customers value
