This role will oversee and optimize our company's logistics operations while ensuring strict adherence to trade compliance regulations. Job Details Key Responsibilities: Logistics Management Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize the flow of goods and reduce transportation costs Oversee supply chain processes to improve efficiency and shorten lead times Negotiate and manage service contracts with logistics providers Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers Identify opportunities for route optimization and cost savings Trade Compliance Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global import/export laws, customs regulations, and trade sanctions Create and manage company-wide compliance policies and procedures Ensure regulatory adherence across product categories (e.g., CE, UK/CA, Prop 65) Oversee import/export documentation, customs filings, and licensing Partner with customs brokers and regulatory agencies to resolve issues Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments Risk Management Identify and address risks in trade and logistics operations Implement contingency plans and insurance coverage for shipments Cost Control Monitor logistics and compliance spend to ensure cost-effectiveness Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving opportunities Reporting & Analysis Generate performance, compliance, and cost analysis reports Present actionable insights and recommendations to leadership Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (Master’s preferred) 5 years of experience in logistics and trade compliance Strong understanding of international trade laws and customs procedures Proven ability to manage teams and vendor relationships Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Experience with logistics/compliance software systems Trade compliance certification (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist, Licensed Customs Broker) preferred Interested in hearing more?
