Job Description:

We're looking for an admitted attorney, for an extremely promising Associate Criminal Defense (TRO) Attorney position within a premier law firm with lots of room for growth. This is an opportunity for a dedicated Associate Attorney to gain valuable experience and further their career with an established firm in the Los Angeles area. As the Associate Criminal Defense Attorney, you will report to theManaging Criminal Defense Attorney. The Associate Attorney will manage their caseload, as well as client interaction, and cancollaborate with our wonderful Criminal Defense Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.
Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Handle a variety of family law cases, including obtaining and defending against Domestic Violence restraining orders, Civil Harassment restraining orders and Workplace Violence restraining orders
  
• Counsel and advise clients on their legal rights, prepare court forms and documents, draft declarations, and conduct legal research and writing including memorandums of points and authorities
  
• Accrue additional evidence to support the client's case and arguments for litigation
  
• Prepare clients for hearings and trial, prepare essential goals of case strategy and gather information from witnesses and important experts that support our client's positions
  
• Manage court appearances, hearings, and trials, drafting motions, interviewing witnesses, and performing legal research
  
  Qualifications :
  
  • 
    
  • JD required, admitted in California required
    
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
    
  • Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural/ethnic diversity of the service population and to be sensitive to the needs of special populations
    
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
    
  • A team player who is open to helping, strategizing, and working with your fellow associates
    
  • Experience handling restraining order cases and litigation preferred
