possible.Strategic Space Systems Division has an opening for a
Principal Computers Systems Architect to join our team of
qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in
Redondo Beach, California.The qualified applicant will become part
of Northrop Grumman's Space programs that provides specialized IT
support to Restricted, DOD, and Unclassified environments. This
position requires knowledge and adherence to Information Assurance
processes and procedures per NG InfoSec and program
security.organizations. The applicant will be expected to support a
variety of diverse, and dynamic environments. The Job requires
supporting.multiple engineering areas that have incorporated COTS
hardware and operating systems with custom applications into their
test systems and operational products.The roles and
responsibilities of this position include:Administration of Linux
(RHEL/CENTOS) 6/7/8 servers and workstationsInstalling,
configuring, troubleshooting Linux operating systemsInstalling,
configuring, and supporting Linux applicationsExperience using
Compliance and Remediation tools (i.e. Nessus, SCC SCAP scanner,
STIG Viewer)On call, 24/7 pager support during critical phases of
testing, contingency operations and off-site as required.As a

schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a
nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday
off.Basic Qualifications:Five (5) years of relevant experience with
a Bachelor's Degree; or 3 years of relevant experience with a
Master's Degree; or 0 years of relevant experience with a
PHD.Candidate must have, and be able to maintain, at least ONE of
the following active U.S. Government security clearances:Dept. of
Defense Top Secret level with a background investigation date
within 6 yearsOR SCI access with a Single Scope Background
Investigation (SSBI) completed within 5 yearsOR Dept. of Energy Q
clearance with a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI)
completed within 5 years.Minimum of 2 to 3 years administering Red
Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6/7/8 servers and workstationsMinimum
of 2 to 3 years Installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux
server applications ( i.e. Samba, NFS, Chrony, Web servers
)Preferred Qualifications:Active SCI ClearanceMeets DOD IAT
requirements for security certs or be in the process of obtaining
one. (i.e. CISSP, Security+ certification)Solid understanding of
computer networking ( OS configuration, Network switches,
Firewalls, CISCO IOS )Performing Backups and Restores using COTS
and Open Source tools to implement a disaster recovery plan (
Windows and Linux )Implementation of CMMC/DFARS/RMF/DOD Security
Controls on Linux and Windows operating systems ( i.e. Windows SHB
and RHEL SSG builds )Installing, configuring, and operating VMWare
and KVM virtualization environmentsBuilding, deploying,
configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems hardware ( i.e.
Workstations, Servers, Storage appliances, network switches, rack &
stack )Consult with vendors in the identification of new
hardware/software technologies to meet program
requirementsFamiliarity with DevSecOps tools and practices ( i.e.
Configuration Management, Atlassian Tool Suite, etc. )Working
experience with scripting languages and automation, such as bash,
ansible, and/or powershellExperienced with SAN/NAS hardware ( i.e
Netapp, Linux and Windows file servers, storage appliances )This
position reports to Manhattan Beach, CA, USA, however, this
position can also be worked from Redondo Beach, CA, CA, USA.Salary
Range: $104,600 USD - $157,000 USDEmployees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including
