Job Description:

Summary:The Manager of the Data Centers manages the Douglas Road Data Center, Memorial Regional Data Center, along with relationships with 3rd party Data Centers serving the Clinical, Business, and operational needs of the Healthcare System. The manager is tasked with overseeing facilities operations, managing budgets, directing routine maintenance, responding to emergencies, managing risk, managing construction / contractors, and conducting site inspections. Directs the Data Center operations activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization. Detailed responsibilities:--- Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions and continuing education initiatives.--- Develops and implements Data Center goals, plans and standards consistent with the department, governing bodies (State and Local) requirements / objectives.--- Prepares and evaluates Data Center budgets and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. Coordinates and directs internal / external audits.--- Participates / Coordinates all Maintenance / Construction Projects, attends meetings and coordinates all Data Center Shutdowns.--- Responds to all emergencies related to utilities that affect the operations of the Data Centers.--- Manges all routine maintenance for all utilities as required. Maintaining all books related to maintenance and / or building improvements. Views new assignments and job responsibilities as an opportunity for growth.--- REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Applies knowledge of Federal or State laws, regulations and/or ordinances to properly assess/evaluate or monitor systems, programs or projects for compliance.--- EXTERNAL AUDIT MANAGEMENT: Organizes, oversees and manages the processes and validity of audits performed by external vendors/agencies. --- MAINTENANCE, REPAIRS AND PROJECTS: Maintains and repairs the organization's structures, systems, and equipment. Performs facility projects. --- FACILITIES AND BUILDING SYSTEMS: Is able to troubleshoot, repair or operate the various systems. --- VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Manages vendor relationships and monitors performance. --- DATA CENTER SECURITY: To secure Memorial Health Care System's data center from unauthorized access and provide a level of fire prevention and safety. Education:Essential:--- Associates Credentials: Education equivalent experience:Essential:--- Mechanical Engineering or in related field. Other information:Complexity of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to build and foster positive relationships. The incumbent must be able to lead others and take appropriate action when required.Required Work Experience: Three (3) years supervisor experience in Information Technology and/or Mechanical Engineering.
