Fabrication studio seeks Technical Designers with experience in museum, fine art, and theme environments.

You'll have constant opportunities to work with many of the industry's leading designers and fabricators on exciting and high-profile projects!Key Responsibilities
  • Bring projects from conception to completion and lead conversations with clients
  • Lead design review meetings and explain chosen design process to internal stakeholders
  • Delegate tasks to Technical Designers and Design Coordinators
  • Project schedule of submittal or shop floor drawing completion, proactively communicating with Project Managers and Director of Technical Design
  • Coordinate scope, materials, fabrication style, and project requirements with Project ManagersandFabrication Leads
  • Participate in bid meetings for technical design scopeSkills and Experience
    • 4+ years of experience as a modeler/drafter/detailer in one or more of the following fields: commercial architecture, museum and/or trade show exhibits, themed entertainment, cabinetry/millwork, mechanical engineering.
    • Degree or substantial experience in Architecture, Engineering, Theater or Set Design, Technical Direction, Industrial or Mechanical Design preferred.
    • Experienced delegator and supervisor of teams, excellent collaborator and team player
    • Proactive communicator, detail-oriented and problem-solver attitude
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino and/or SketchUp preferred
