Forever 21 is located in more than 540 locations globally and online, and we're seeking passionate and creative people to join our Forever family.Job PurposeThe Sr. Technical Designer will provide direction and guidance to a team of technicians and assistants to ensure accurate execution of requested measurements, quality, construction, and overall fit of Forever 21 merchandise.Deliverables

• Compile information on all garment components including fit, fabric, construction, stitch, and trim into fit comment document
• Accurately measure garments to identify any fit issues
• Execute fit comments in a timely manner to ensure fit process stays in line with production and action timelines
• Provide call-outs and critiques during the fittings to verify that all issues are identified
• Issue grading guidelines to vendors after fit approval to ensure quality is kept consistent for the entirety of the production phase
• Approve samples to proceed to the production phase after a thorough evaluation of fit, measurement, pattern shaping, hanger appeal, and functionality
• Assist in the hiring of fit models as needed after a thorough evaluation of body structure and measurements
• Discuss with Buyers and Production Coordinators any issues, corrections, and/or recommendations to garmentsKnowledge, Skills, And Qualifications
  • Must have an Associates or Bachelor's degree in Fashion
  • Must have 5-7 years of experience as a Fit Technician and/or Technical Designer; knowledge of patternmaking a plus
  • Must have technical experience with multiple product classifications
  • Must possess a keen eye to identify fit issues and recommend solutions
  • Must have a strong understanding of garment construction and fabric types
  • Must have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Experience using Web PDM is a plus
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced fashion environment
