We are looking for a Sr. HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) who possesses a versatile skill set and is comfortable with operating across both tactical and strategic spaces. Joining this global HR team as our Sr. HRBP means stepping into an integral position charged with operating as a trusted advisor and coach and building effective partnerships with business leaders and management teams to create, execute and improve upon Fender's talent strategy.
About the Job:
Reporting to the Director of HR, the Sr. HR Business Partner acts as a strategic consultant to multiple functional areas within Fender, and will:


  • Understand the Fender business, goals, and strategic initiatives, as well as how these items align with the talent strategy to accelerate results.
  • Work within an assigned area on organizational strategy, performance management, compensation, workforce planning, succession planning, and change management activities.
  • In partnership with the Director of HR, strategically identify emerging talent challenges and opportunities, partnering cross-functionally to create solutions.
  • Strategize and shares methods for leaders to establish and sustain a positive work culture within their teams.
  • Drive employee engagement by identifying gaps in the business, as well as solutions to address those gaps
  • Lead investigations and act as a neutral part in fact-finding while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, timeliness, and minimizing exposure to the business.
  • Counsel leaders on best practices and processes related to coaching employees and progressive discipline.
  • Providing coaching/training with managers and employees to support leadership development, business decision-making, human resources management, problem-solving, and performance management
  • Ensure proper procedures are conducted for employee exits, such as conducting exit interviews and providing relevant feedback to management.
  • Initiates personnel actions in the HCM system (e.g., personnel changes, job changes, and terminations).
  • Oversee the Leave of Absence process including counseling employees on requests for leave, and managing communication between leave admin, manager, and the employee.
  • Facilitate the interactive process for employee accommodation requests, brokering the conversation between the manager and the employee.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and assist in the creation of, and adherence to, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Possess the capacity to carefully analyze relevant HR data, review trends, and drive informed decision-making with a minimal level of guidance.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of functional area employees through management of handling grievances, disciplinary process, and collecting employee feedback.
  • Grow a corporate culture that fosters fast learning and continuous improvement of the organization through initiatives and events.
  • Assist with special projects and employee events as necessary.

    What You Need:

    • Bachelor's degree required, with an emphasis in HR, Business Administration, or Organizational Psychology preferred
    • Minimum of 5 years of proven HR experience with a demonstrated advancement and progression of your HR knowledge and responsibilities
    • Proven experience translating business objectives into talent strategy and HR initiatives, then leading through execution and change management.
    • In-depth knowledge of US federal, state, and local employment laws
    • Experience working within a global enterprise-wide HCM program, preferably SuccessFactors

If this is a remote position, the pay scale disclosed herein may be adjusted further based upon the applicable geographic differential associated with the location from which the successful candidate will work. Please note that it is not typical for a Fender employee to be at or near the top of the pay scale for their role - especially as a new hire - and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is$74,333-$148,667 per year.
